As you are well aware, this has been a season of supernatural blessing and growth. Over the last six months, our church family has doubled in size. At the current rate of growth, we will triple our congregation by Easter! As a result, our current facility is being pushed to the limits. We believe NOW is the time to move forward in bold faith to address both our current and future facility needs. Our desire is to focus on a solution to these challenges so that we can properly steward the blessing while maintaining the forward momentum of our vision and mission.
So let me introduce you to The NOW Campaign, the name we have chosen for our stewardship campaign. I believe the Lord has given us an amazing opportunity for kingdom impact. But opportunities must be seized. They demand quick action.
I am reminded of the life of Caleb. The Lord drew attention to the fact that he was not like everyone else. Caleb had “a different spirit” (Numbers 14:24). When confronted with the both the opportunity and the challenge to possess the Promised Land, Caleb said, “Let’s go NOW!” (Numbers 13:30 GW). Like Caleb, we want to move forward with a spirit of bold faith and holy urgency. The time is NOW!
That’s why we are asking every member of our church family to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment, over and above your regular tithes and offerings, to be given over the next three years. I’ll be sharing the exciting details of this project in a couple of weeks.
I want to encourage your attendance on Sunday, March 14. During this special service, I will be sharing more specifics about our expansion project, The NOW Campaign, and the importance of church-wide prayer during this critical time.
Watch your mailbox for an invitation to attend one of our Vision Gatherings. The purpose of these meetings is to share information with you and to answer any questions you might have. Following your receipt of an invitation, a member of our church family will contact you to confirm your attendance. Please know that your participation in a Vision Gathering is very important and that no commitments will be taken at these meetings. When you are called, my hope is that you will joyfully say “yes!”
These are exciting days in the life of our church. Let’s move ahead together with great faith and a humble reliance upon the Lord for His full blessing and provision.
